June, in the plant world, is a busy month. It kicks off by celebrating Perennial Gardening Month and includes celebrating National Pollinator Week.

If you’re thinking, I don’t know what a perennial is. Remember there are no dumb questions. We’re here to educate our customers and help them become the best gardeners. Click here for the difference between an annual and a perennial.

As the garden coach, one question I am always asked is for help designing a pollinator garden. As part of the celebration, we’re giving you a design, done by Amy Nies, Landscape Designer with B. B. Barns Landscape (thank you Amy!), so you can create your own pollinator garden like a pro. Simply download the design and bloom schedule (at bottom of post), purchase your plants, and plant using Amy’s design as a guide. Soon the bees will be buzzing and the butterflies swarming. Add this to your celebration!

Click on the buttons above to download. Don’t have a printer? Screenshot the design, or scribble it down, or pick up a copy at the store. Then ask our staff for help if you have questions and don’t be afraid to substitute if you prefer.
