Gardening in a Changing Climate

Local author and gardener Peter Loewer will discuss the effects and solutions to the problems rising temps cause when gardening in the WNC Mountains. He will discuss some of the advantages, to rising temperatures, including expanding our plant collections and the challenges, mostly revolving around the increasing importance of water, and how to best provide it for your gardens.

Loewer has recently published two new books, one entitled Solving Deer Problems (Second Edition) and the other a salute to growing houseplants in nothing except containers of water: Hydroponics for Houseplants. Both thoroughly illustrated.
