Sprout Squad: Kitchen Scrap Gardening

SPROUT SQUAD EVENT: Kitchen Scrap Gardening

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and we have food on the brain! Join Jenna Mace, our Tropicals Buyer and Haley Martin, our Assistant Nursery Manager for this month's Sprout Squad Activity focused on reusing vegetable kitchen scraps to grow new plants. Instead of throwing away carrot tops, lettuce ends, celery bottoms, and potato eyes, start a garden with them. Kids will learn about the different vegetables that can grow from cuttings will pot up rooted cuttings to take home. Create a new tradition this Thanksgiving of limiting food waste!
